Jerry Garcia’s Guitars
As a Korean-American Deadhead, the Grateful Dead’s “Steal Your Face” icon has always reminded me of the Taegeuk at the center of the South Korean flag.
Taegeuk translates to “supreme ultimate” and symbolizes cosmic balance. The trigrams at the top represent fire, heaven, and mountain - references to multiple Grateful Dead songs and the hangeul at the bottom says “wolf, alligator, tiger” which are Jerry Garcia’s guitars.
